Update 53 - True North: Children of Delshad off to Beta Readers

The first book in the series is finally done with it’s first round of editing. My goal is to have two books finished this year, and to that end I tripped myself up. After finishing the first draft, I decided to lay the manuscript aside for a month before editing it. I wasn’t able to stand it, and so I only waited two weeks before starting in on the first round of edits.

The problem came from trying to maintain my daily 1-2k word minimum on the second book while trying to edit the first. I got my mind a bit tangled, and ended up falling a bit behind on both. Acknowledging my error, I focused on the edit of book one for the first two weeks of June before finally finishing it. I sent the first revision to about ten people who expressed an interest in reading the story in hopes of hearing back from them in a month with suggestions and comments. From there, I’ll edit again and start trying to shop the book around to agents or publishers.

I’m continuing my work on the second book, tentatively called ‘Ruins of York’. I’ve already made decent headway.

If you’re reading this, thank you. Don’t forget to work on your own passion project, and to pursue love.
